There are many reasons I think people could disagree with signing of Michael Turner by the Atlanta Falcons.  History has shown us that productive backups don't translate to starters in the NFL.  There were also a couple games where Ladainian Tomlinson was sidelined and Turner didn't quite step up to carry the load, notably the playoff loss to New England.  There is also the question of whether the Falcons should use the #3 pick in the draft to take Darren Mcfadden the consensus best player in the draft.  Mcfadden being from the SEC would give the Falcons a noteworthy player who would bring talent and ticket sales.  I think the Turner signing is a good thing for the team because after watching Turner play for the last three years I believe he can translate h
