Life After Favre.

Wow!  He finally did it, Brett Favre will be and an NFL quarterback no more.  Well Brett, not that I wanted you go, but I am glad that you just up and did it.  I am so tired of every off-season for the past three or four seasons, the entire sports world is hanging on by Brett’s every thought of playing or if he’s going to retire.  At least that part is over!

Favre is the NFL record holder for many for many Quarterback stats but his record of the most consecutive games started in the NFL, passing touchdowns, and interceptions shows what kind of player this man is.  This guy seemed to put everything he had into to his performances on Sundays as is proof by those before mentioned records.  Being a San Diego Chargers fan seeing Favre go is nothing that will hang me up any longer than to write this post. However, most NFL fans will miss the guy and hearing reactions from Green Bay Packers fans on sports talk radio, you would think someone in their immediate family died and can they do to move on?

I understand how Green Bay feels because they are going back to being a doormat team in the NFC unless they are able to find magic from the draft at quarterback because Aaron Rodgers and free agency has nothing to offer the Pack.  Just look at the team when Brett under performs, the Packers lose. Yet when the man was playing like the gunslinger he is, they had a great shot at winning.  Having a productive QB in the in NFC North will almost make you a lock for that division.  So now there is a problem in Green Bay.

Green Bay, lucky for you I am your problem wizard, get ready for this:  Find a way to make a trade with Cleveland for Brady Quinn.  The Browns just inked Derrick Anderson to a multi-year deal with big money so I think you got a shot at landing this guy.  Cleveland does not have a first or second round pick this year, so if you dangle a first and third in their face, I could really see the Browns biting.  Trust me, you don’t need to kill yourself or do anything rash, you just need someone other than Aaron Rogers.  I know it and so do you!
