When Andy Pettitte came out quickly after the Mitchell Report and admitted that he had used Human Growth Hormone (HGH) I knew he was going to basically get a free pass on what he did.
Hey Andy: Do not pass GO do not collect $200. Yet Andy Pettitte did collect his $200, well… actually he will collect $16 Million form the New York Yankees while pitching for the 2008 season. What about Miguel Tejada, I am quite sure he showed up on the Steroids Inquisition yet he is still due to make over $13.8 Million and look at Eric Gagne who is to make $6 Million in 2008.
Here’s where I have a problem, an admitted cheater of the game of baseball will be the 4th highest paid player on the team with the highest payroll in Major League Baseball. To me MLB needs to step in and take these admitted cheaters and hit them where the sun doesn’t shine, their playing time and THE WALLET.
The reason I am calling for these players’ heads is because the sooner we start punishing the wrong, the quicker we can get back to the game. I am so tired of these players with their press conferences and those “I am so sorry” and “I wasn’t trying to cheat” or “I am just trying to come back to from injury,” you cheated so admit it and shut up. Oh, and Andy, trying to come back faster from injury by using HGH is performance enhancing. So don’t feed that crap to me, you just insulted my intelligence.
MLB: To me, the ball is in your court, it’s time to send these cheaters a message. So Bud Selig, grow a pair of balls, stop being a spineless jellyfish and go all out on these guys. Unfortunately, I know Bud won’t step up to the plate, because he never does and what has he ever done to make me think any differently? Nothing that’s it! And Bud: Don’t say a month suspension is cracking down, that’s small potatoes to these guys.
Andy, Miguel, and Eric you have your get out of jail free cards thanks to MLB and Bud Selig. And at the next press conference, I hope you stop apologizing to “the Kids” because I know you don’t mean it.

I hear Bud consults regularly with special advisor Vince McMahon on how to keep anabolic drugs out of his sport.
