March 7, 2008 - The San Diego Padres won their Spring Training game today. They beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-3. Scott Hairston homered and Michael Gardner got the win.
The Padres play @ Texas Rangers tomorrow at 12:05 p.m. Pacific.
Hopefully the news on Jim Edmonds is good. There was nothing out there as of press time. The Padres need the experience level and gold glove in center. If his legs can hold out. He has played few games healthy over the last three years with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The coolest is having Spring Training games on the air; on Double XX 1090 & 105.7 FM. Coleman, Leitner and Masur host. Turn it on in the background; it is the pasttime because it helps us pass the time. Go Padres, wishing you and all us fans the best in 2008 season.
The Padres announced the starting pitcher for Spring Training dates in Beijing, China, March 15-16; RHP Justin Germano (a Southern California kid) will start the first game; LHP Cesar Ramos will start the second. Travel rosters were also released.
That is it for now, its almost time for a Coors Light aka Silver Bullet or 5! Always responsibly...doing a Sabre Springs pub-crawl.
Gretzky was the best at his sport, more dominating than any other player in any other sport at any time in history. He also brought grace and class to the game. Others to ponder: Jordan, Woods, Ruth, John Force? Thoughts?
